Functional Elemental Carpentry

While visiting a friend's apartment a few years ago, I was impressed by his TV stand. I was also astonished that he built it himself in his place and, even more that he hauled the supplies from the store on his single-gear bicycle by attaching a small table wheel to the end of the wood slabs. I, however, never took a picture of it, unfortunately. Yet, this furniture piece had been an endless inspiration to take on Carpentry. Fortunately, he recently sent me some photos of the new ones he built at his current place.

Now that I have space to do some woodwork, plenty of access to leftover wood, and a variety of power tools, I thought it better to invest the time in building whatever pieces of furniture I needed instead of driving around looking for them. The basics were straightforward, so I started small and gradually worked up to more complex projects. With plenty of help and mentorship from my friend Stuart, a carpenter by trade, I have had the chance to learn much and hope to continue the journey to more complex woodworking skills.

Below is a collection of some of the first projects done and a video vlog of some of the process
